  • How many sessions will I need?
    There is no standard minimum or maximum number of sessions needed. Depending on the presenting issue(s), the complexity of same and the client's involvement outside of sessions, most people are able to reach their goals in 2- 24 sessions. I highly encourage clients to maximize their time in therapy by staying engaged and active with materials and resources provided in between appointments.
  • How long are sessions?
    A session is schedule for 50-90 minutes. If you would like a longer session, please notify me in advance and I will accommodate the schedule at an additional cost. ​ EMDR sessions are 90 minutes.
  • What happens if I need to cancel or miss an appointment?
    Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists' day that could have been filled by another client. As such, I require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee. If you are late, your appointment will not be extended past the originally scheduled time and you will be charged the full fee. ​ You can email me to cancel at

  • Does my Insurance cover therapy sessions?
    Most insurance providers do cover a portion of therapy. Please check with your individual provider prior to booking a session to know how much will be covered and if sessions provided by an MSW will be approved. I am able to direct bill to a number of insurance providers including : Alberta Blue Cross Alberta School Employee Beneva | SSQ Canada Life | Great-West Life Desjardin First Canadian Health iA Financial Group Medavie Blue Cross SunLife If you pay upfront, you will be provided with an invoice after fees are processed and you are welcome to contact your insurance provider for reimbursement.
